Welcoming Georgia Savage: PGS Expands Leadership to Strengthen Access to Public Funding

As nonprofits across the country face increasing service demands amidst a rapidly shifting funding landscape, competition for limited public resources is more challenging than ever. As a result, the ability to strategically pursue and secure investment has become essential to successfully impacting and advancing initiatives in the communities our clients serve. At Principal Gift Solutions, we are committed to partnering with nonprofits to navigate these shifting dynamics with innovative, diversified, and community-centered approaches.

Today, we are proud to welcome Georgia Savage as our new assistant vice president. This strategic addition strengthens our firm’s ability to help clients secure transformative government and corporate funding and design innovative solutions that expand opportunity for communities nationwide.

A Leader in Securing Transformative Investments

Georgia brings an exceptional record of securing major public and philanthropic investments in partnership with government agencies and community stakeholders. As deputy director of #OaklandUndivided, she helped secure over $35 million in state funding and nearly $1 million in philanthropic support, dramatically expanding high-speed internet access for thousands of Oakland residents.

She also served as a lead author of the City of Oakland’s 2025 Broadband Master Plan, a comprehensive strategy informed by deep community engagement and designed to advance digital equity for years to come.

Diverse Experience Across Government, Nonprofit, and Education Sectors

Georgia’s career is rooted in cross-sector leadership and community-centered systems change. She has worked across government, nonprofit, and education settings, shaping strategies that elevate community voice, strengthen transparency, and move major initiatives forward.

Her expertise in strategic communications, public engagement, and coalition-building provides an invaluable resource for organizations to navigate complex funding landscapes and policy decisions and to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Georgia’s early career as a high school educator in New Mexico and New York continues to ground her perspective and aligns closely with the missions of PGS clients working to advance educational equity and opportunity.

Strengthening PGS’s Fundraising Strategy Portfolio

Georgia joins PGS at a pivotal time in our firm’s growth. Nonprofits are increasingly seeking support to access public funding streams, build cross-sector partnerships, and develop strategies that center community needs. Georgia’s experience positions us to meet this demand with even greater depth and expertise.

Her leadership enhances our ability to help organizations navigate complex funding environments, secure significant public and private investments, and design bold, client-driven initiatives that deliver lasting impact.
